Steering Committee Meeting Agenda

Draft Meeting Objectives:
  1. Update on the CalFed 2000 grant. Overview of the 2000 grant budget, timeline and process. Update on Peer Review process.
  2. Update on Regional Board meeting on the stakeholder process. Are there actions the Steering Committee should be taking based this meeting.
  3. Update on funding strategy for 2001 and 2002. Progress report on the 2001 CalFed grant application. Consider proposal for a Technical Coordinator who works on applying for grants, overseeing TMDL and Implementation Plan planning and analysis. How could this position be funded? How will the steering committee develop its one and three year budgets?
  4. Discussion on pushing to include dissolved oxygen issues in other San Joaquin River and Delta operation planning and study programs. Review and vote on Alex Hildebrand's draft letter to send to different planning agencies.
  5. Review Kevin Wolf's article on the stakeholder process for the SETAC newsletter. Continue discussion about the difficulty environmental and agricultural stakeholders have in getting qualified representation on the Technical Committee.
